Course Weekly Snapshot

In the first session, participants will engage deeply with the course content, connect with their peers, and begin exploring their personal and athletic development paths, with a focus on understanding rites of passage. This foundation will set the stage for a transformative journey throughout the course.

In the second session, participants will delve into the three phases of athletic rites of passage: Separation, Liminality, and Incorporation. Through a tailored framework, the facilitator will guide participants to understand how these phases are integral to the athlete's journey towards growth and development.

In the third session, participants will be equipped with practical, evidence-based therapeutic practices to integrate into their athletic and personal lives for improved performance, resilience, and well-being. Through guided workshops, on-demand tutorials, and reflective exercises, athletes will gain valuable skills to enhance their mental conditioning and navigate the psychological demands of their sport.

In the fourth session, participants will explore strategies for dealing with solitude, including using it as a tool for mental recovery and growth. They will also navigate common athletic crises, learning psychological tools for resilience and recovery. Additionally, the session will cover techniques for managing uncertainty and fear, emphasizing adaptability, a positive mindset, and preparation in facing the unknown.

In the fifth session, participants will gain tools and inspiration to set and pursue meaningful goals. Through structured goal-setting, guided visualization, and reflective journaling, athletes will explore and solidify their personal and athletic aspirations, embedding these goals into their daily practices and long-term planning.

In the sixth session, participants will gain the knowledge, skills, and community support needed to navigate the risks and challenges inherent in sports. Through expert insights, personal reflection, and peer discussions, athletes will learn to balance risk and safety, confront "The Darkness," and emerge stronger and more resilient.

In the seventh session, participants will reflect on their journey, celebrate their achievements, and discuss how to integrate the lessons learned into their lives beyond sports. The session includes a closing ceremony with reflections from course leaders, a celebration of personal and athletic milestones, and a facilitated discussion on the ongoing impact of their experiences. Participants will also share their "Story of Transformation" presentations, engage in a group gratitude exercise, and set future goals to maintain their growth and momentum.
