Lydia Missal
LCPC-S, EMDRIA APPROVED EMDR CONSULTANT, RITES OF PASSAGE GUIDE, WFR, OWNER/CLINICIAN
Do you seek to be transformed through the therapeutic process? If so, Lydia Missal, adventure-based psychotherapist, graduate of Prescott College, might be the right fit for you.
Lydia has an open, inviting, and grounding presence. She specializes in trauma-informed practices as an EMDRIA Approved EMDR Consultant, adventure and nature-based interventions, resilience, mindfulness, and creative expression.
Therapeutically, she’s passionate about collaborating with her clients on helping them access the flow state inside and outside of the office while weaving in a sense of humor. She loves connecting with humans at all stages of their life journey.
Personally, she loves all types of adventure that involve physical movement, travel, her two doggies Lola and Dash, and spending time with her husband, family and friends.
She usually accesses the flow state through physical movement such as climbing or endurance events. She knows she’s in the Flow State because she feels alive, energetic, content, connected, calm and secure.
Michele Preuss
LCSW, IFS-Informed, TRM CERTIFIED, CLINICIAN
Are you seeking a therapist who brings a balance of professional expertise with a playful, "EastCoast honest" approach? If so, Michele Preuss might be the right fit for you. She is a licensed clinical social worker and graduate of James Madison University and Boise State University.
Michele brings a unique blend of sincerity, authenticity, and levity to the clinical space. With nearly eight years of experience supporting at-risk youth in an alternative high school setting, she specializes in helping adolescents and their families navigate challenges such as anxiety/depression, PTSD, learning challenges, neurodivergence, and addiction. Michele combines her understanding of academic learning profiles, mental health needs, and family dynamics, to facilitate real-time conflict resolution and help parents guide their teens with compassion.
Individually, Michele is passionate about helping clients (both adolescents and adults) heal through re-processing trauma in experiential ways. Her core focus is Internal Family Systems (IFS)—operating from the belief that we are composed of many "parts," none of which are inherently bad—helping clients reintegrate painful memories to achieve internal calm. With her additional training in the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), she can also help bring awareness to a client’s physical sensations in a way that allows the body to process stress and return to a state of balance.
Outside the office, Michele finds her flow state in the mountains—whether she is trail running, mountain biking, paddleboarding, or rock climbing. Her creative side flourishes at home in her garden, through painting, drawing, and crafting homemade soap.
Michele knows she’s in her element when her inherent traits of compassion, curiosity, playfulness, and courage “have the microphone”—an energy she is excited to share with her clients as they journey toward healing.
